State Executive Board

President


Anastasia Bouras – University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire

Position Responsibilities:

The President is the top elected position in the Aspiring Educators organization. The responsibilities of this position are extensive.

The President serves as the Aspiring Educators representative to the WEAC Board of Directors and is the presiding officer at all official Aspiring Educators functions (Board meetings, Representative Assembly, etc.). She/he oversees the duties and responsibilities of the other state officers and serves as the contact person and liaison to other organizations (WEAC, NEA, etc.).

The President works closely with the Aspiring Educators Governance Liaison in the day-to-day operations and programs of the Aspiring Educators organization.

Vice President


Katie Sanderfoot- University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point

Position Responsibilities:

Organize the annual Aspiring Educators awards judging.

Serve as the Northeast district liaison.

Attend all Aspiring Educators statewide events, including Board of Directors’ meetings.

Secretary and Outreach Coordinator


 Emily Markof – Univeristy of Wisconsin – Eau Claire

Position Responsibilities:

Take minutes at all state meetings.

Serve as Outreach to Teach Coordinator, organizing all aspects of the event.

Serve as the Southwest district liaison.

Attend all Aspiring Educators statewide events, including Board of Directors’ meetings.

Professional Development Coordinator


Sergei Raspel – University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire

Position Responsibilities:

Coordinate the Professional Issues Conference (PIC).

Serve as the Southeast district liaison.

Attend all Aspiring Educator statewide events, including Board of Directors’ meetings.

Membership Coordinator


Maddie Luthanen – University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire

Position Responsibilities:

Coordinate the Student Professional Development Seminar.

Serve as the Southeast district liaison.

Attend all Aspiring Educator statewide events, including Board of Directors’ meetings.

Public Relations Coordinator


Rachel Arch – University of Wisconsin – La Crosse

Position Responsibilities:

Serve as the Northwest district liaison.

Maintain the Aspiring Educators website, social media accounts, and create monthly newsletters.

Serve as an alternate representative on the WEAC Board of Directors.

Attend all Aspiring Educator statewide events, including Board of Directors’ meetings.
